Management and Leadership
Even after 30 years as a Montessori Educator I still get excited about providing a prepared Montessori environment in which young children can learn and develop at their own pace.
My motivation stems from Maria Montessori’s philosophy which is based solidly on RESPECT for each child and the child’s right to feel loved, safe and confident in their environment.
These are the things which build their confidence, independence, resilience, empathy and life skills. I will never cease loving hearing young children say, “I can do it myself”.
I have worked at IMCH for the past 25 years and am dedicated to educating children in the formative years of 0-5. My values and personal beliefs are aligned with Montessori’s philosophy of respect, compassion and the fostering of well-being and confidence in every child. I am passionate about providing an environment which is accepting and welcoming, that fosters the right relationships and is committed to the common good.
I believe that if children are educated in an environment that respects these values then they are able to develop their spirituality, which will assist them to navigate their world, problem solve, make positive choices, become resilient and provide them with tools for happy and healthy lives into the future. For as Maria Montessori says “Within the child lies the fate of the future.”
